Description of NFPA 37 2002

Per NFPA's requirements, when purchasing NFPA 2021 Standards and/or 2020 NFPA 70 (NEC), you must subscribe to at least one more NFPA Standard to complete your purchase. This newly revised Standard governs the installation and use of stationary engines and gas turbines fueled by liquid or gaseous fuels for use with emergency generators, fire pumps, and other equipment.

Updated to reflect current industry knowledge, NFPA 37 now specifies a clarified source of air for cooling, ventilation and combustion air; and clarified safety features for engines greater than 10 h.p. In addition, it features expanded fuel tank spill containment requirements, modified requirements for tank room ventilation, clarified requirements for exaust systems, and new automatic fuel stop requirements.
