BS AU 50-1.0d:1998 Tyres and wheels. Tyres - General
    Edition: 1998

Description of BS AU 50-1.0d:1998 1998

Part 1 of this British Standard specifies tyre sizes, with loads and inflation pressure schedules, for use with the associated wheel rim contours specified in BS AU 50-4, and on the classes of vehicles specified. Requirements for markings are also included. Appropriate valve numbers are specified in BS AU 50-3.

NOTE 1. Tyre data in this British Standard are compiled on the basis of the type of tyre, not its application. For example, for caravans using car tyres, reference should be made to Section 1.

NOTE 2. Speed limits quoted in this British Standard are relevant to the markings and capabilities of the tyres and do not take into account any legal speed limits applicable to the vehicle.

NOTE 3. Tyres of one size designation may be made in more than one design to suit various service applications. These designs may have different speed capabilities, as indicated on the tyre sidewall marking.

Specifies tyre sizes, loads and inflation pressure schedules for use with the associated wheel rim contours in Part 4 of this standard on the classes of vehicles specified. Requirements for markings are also included.
