For welded strainers in services at or below these ratings and cast strainers, see Specification F1199. 1.2 This specification provides the minimum requirements for the design fabrication, rating, marking, and testing of welded pipe line strainers for services above 0°F (−18°C). 1.3 Strainers manufactured to this specification are acceptable for use in the marine environment. 1.4 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as the standard. The values given in parentheses are for information only.
