SUPERSEDED (see Active link, below)
ASTM D5121
1. Scope
1.1 This practice covers the preparation of rock slabs for various tests used to evaluate any visual internal defects, or the durability of rock by means of laboratory tests. These tests include, but are not limited to, freeze-thaw, wet-dry, and soundness.
Note 1Tests for evaluating the durability of rock for erosion control uses are presently under development by ASTM Committee D-18.1.2 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety problems associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety and health practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use. For a specific hazards statement, see Section 7.
